I view design as a means to understand people; a practice of communication.

Every user is a human being, every use case is a need, and every data point represents a person that has interacted with my design.

I’ve worked in industries ranging from genetics to news media to alcoholic beverage sales. When colleagues and I interrogate assumptions, reflect on outliers, and entertain new perspectives, it results in stronger design, stronger teams, and a better experience for the people that use the tools we make.
